A new Tomodachi Life game!!! I’m so happy!

I love Miis2 so the announcement3 of another new game featuring them made me so happy! It had me thinking about the future of Miis especially with the Switch 2 Direct coming out next week.
Having Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream be the last game Nintendo showcased for the Switch's life could mean a lot of good things for the state of Miis. It could mean Nintendo still sees potential and value in Miis. Also, the next console could have Miis be more present in the system itself and have more games about them/including them than how they were treated in the Switch. This could also mean more customization for the next console like music being brought back for the menu and such.
Nintendo could’ve had Metroid close out the direct but they specifically went with Miis! Y’know, that franchise they seemed to not pay much attention to during the Switch’s lifespan. I’m still trying to wrap my head around this lol. Samus Aran from Metroid is one of my favorite characters from Nintendo and I'm glad she's getting another game (thank goodness!) but I'm also happy Miis were given the spotlight this time. It's nice that Nintendo is giving these franchises another chance instead of shelving them.
I’m aware game development takes an enormous amount of time but I’m curious about if this game was in response to ppl wanting more customization for the Switch console and asking for more Mii content (specifically another Tomodachi Life) or if this was part of Nintendo’s plan from the beginning regardless of their audience’s interest in the Mii brand. If the new game was their response to the former then it’s nice that the company listened to their audience! I really enjoyed Miitopia for the Switch and that remaster mostly had positive reactions so I'm cautiously optimistic that Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream will be just as good.
