… I hope you can see the bubbles to indicate that yes, they’re really under the sea 🤣 at the time I was making this back in 2018, I wasn’t confident with coloring and that’s why all my drawings before late 2019 aren’t as vibrant lol. With this drawing, I wanted to give all the focus on the pair and make sure their expressions were on point. I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out.
For some context: I headcanon Peridot as someone who cannot swim well (I actually don’t remember if the show addressed that). Lapis is a water gem which means she can control water—so she’s a good swimmer!
