Fall and Spooky Month
SPOILER WARNING: I’ll be talking about Trese, Knights of Guinevere, and Cybersix. You can ignore this post or proceed if you want.
I did a Halloween post last year and I thought it would be fun to write another for this year. And since I’ll be sharing this blogpost around the day of Halloween, Happy Halloween to everyone who celebrates and I hope you have a fun time!
Shows
Trese
I tried watching this show years ago but didn’t finish. I decided to try and watch this again after being reminded of it when someone mentioned it in a Forgotten Island video on YouTube (and because it’s another project Liza Soberano, who voices Jo in Forgotten Island, was involved in).
I wasn’t expecting the show to have gore or actually scare me at times especially with how terrifying some of the creatures are. I am enjoying the show so hopefully I’ll actually finish watching it.
Knights of Guinevere
I know the show’s creator, Dana Terrace, loves horror, especially body horror, but I wasn’t expecting THAT amount of body horror the show was going for. I’m excited to see where this show goes.
Cybersix
Cybersix ended up in my YouTube recommendations and I’m so glad I decided to check it out. I tend to gravitate towards 2D-animated cartoons from that era mostly because I love how those cartoons look [ex: the 90s Scooby Doo films like Zombie Island and Disney’s Gargoyles].
Video Games
Jack Howl’s bday
I’ve written about Jack’s bday on my last Halloween post from last year. He’s my favorite character from Twisted Wonderland, and thankfully I was able to get his bday card.
Jack’s also on my island in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream which means the game also celebrated his bday.
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp
My Campsite
I ended up playing a lot of Animal Crossing Pocket Camp this month. I might make a separate post since I have more to talk about but we’ll see how that goes. Anyway, here are some screenshots of how my campsite looks like.
My Halloween Camper Card
And my current camper card. Nanako is an original character my friends and I made for a horror video game we’re making, and one of the video games that inspired us is The Witch’s House. So I gave Nanako a black cat plushie to reference how there’s a black cat who acts as a save point in The Witch’s House. For Goldie I gave her a spell book since she loves reading.
